Indonesia And Mongolia Sign Political Consultation Agreement
"The signing of the political consultation agreement increases the dialogue between Indonesia and Mongolia," said Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono on Wednesday.
This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Sugiono after a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Mongolia Battesteg Batmunkh at the Pancasila Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta.

One of the main results of this meeting is the signing of the Memorandum on Understanding (MoU) on Political Consultation.
"The MoU match-up increases dialogue between the two countries, as well as becomes the basis for increasing understanding of the interests of the two countries on joint, regional and global issues," said the Indonesian Foreign Minister, Wednesday, May 21.
Furthermore, the Indonesian Foreign Minister also highlighted the huge potential that has not been explored, especially for investment and commodity trading such as livestock and agricultural products that can strengthen relations between the two countries in an effort to increase food security.
Welcoming this, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia specifically invited investors from Indonesia to be involved in developing potential industries such as mining, infrastructure and energy development that had not been widely explored in Indonesia.
In the field of community relations, education and culture, Indonesia offers scholarships for the Development State Partnership (KNB) to Mongolian students and invites the country to encourage convenience in obtaining visas.
In addition, strengthening cultural relations through the center such as the Mongolian Cultural Center in Tanjung Lesung and cooperation in capacity building were also appointed in discussions between the two foreign ministers.

The Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his optimism that this meeting would pave the way for real progress towards the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Mongolia.
"I am grateful for the commitment of cooperation from the Foreign Minister of Battesteg Batmunkh. My team will immediately follow up on this agreement," concluded Foreign Minister Sugiono.
It is known that this bilateral meeting marks an important step in strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries that have been established since December 22, 1956 and will turn 70 in 2026.
