Not Willing To Move His IPhone, A Woman In Johar Baru Was Dragged By A Motorbike Driven By A Thief
JAKARTA - A woman with the initials SF (24) suffered several injuries after being dragged by a motorbike by two robbers in the Galur area, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta. The incident occurred when the victim was sitting in a shop on Tuesday, May 21, 2025.
The incident began when two perpetrators who were riding a motorbike approached the victim. One of the perpetrators got off and suddenly took SF's iPhone. The victim, who tried to defend his cellphone, fell and was dragged by the perpetrator's motorbike.
Despite trying to catch up, the perpetrator managed to escape with the help of his colleague who was waiting on the motorbike. Luckily, their action was caught by a surveillance camera (CCTV) around the location.
The victim then reported the incident to the Johar Baru Police. Following up on the report, the police immediately conducted an investigation and succeeded in securing two perpetrators with the initials MI (17) and RC (18).
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro, revealed that after carrying out the mugging, the two perpetrators sold stolen cellphones to a dealer with the initials MA alias Alu, who is currently still being chased by the police.

"We managed to arrest the two perpetrators along with evidence in the form of motorbikes, clothes used during the action, and CCTV footage," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Wednesday, May 21.
From the results of the examination, it was found that one of the perpetrators was a member of a group of gangsters named AGARUS, who was known as a brawl specialist in the Tanah Tinggi area.
"The perpetrators have first observed the situation. As soon as they saw the opportunity, they immediately carried out the action. The victim not only lost his goods, but also almost lost his life because he was dragged by the perpetrator's motorbike," he added.
The results of urine tests on the two perpetrators showed negative results of drugs. For their actions, both of them were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence and threatened with imprisonment of up to nine years.
Currently, the police are still hunting for the Supreme Court and investigating the possibility of the group's involvement in other street crimes in the Central Jakarta area.
