Pertamina Hulu Energi Signs 10 Gas Sale And Purchase Agreements And Strategic Cooperation
PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) signed 10 gas purchase agreements (PJBG) at the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convex 2025 today, Tuesday, May 20.
The signing of PJBG with various parties facilitated directly by the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) as the regulator.
The ten agreed Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements (PJBG) are:
1. PJBG between PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Ogan Komering with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk and affiliates, with gas volume to be supplied reaching 4 billion British thermal per day (BBTUD) for industrial needs.
2. PJBG between PT Pertamina Hulu Energi North Sumatra Offshore and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk and affiliates, with a gas volume to be supplied of 8.48 billion British thermal per day (BBTUD) for the needs of buyers' final customers.
3. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, with gas volume to be supplied reaching 11 billion British thermal per day (BBTUD) for industrial needs in Medan (North Sumatra).
4. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk and affiliates with gas volume to be supplied reaches 17 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) for industrial needs in West Java.
5. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT Bayu Buana Gemilang with a gas volume that will be supplied by 1 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) from Tambun Field for industrial needs in West Java and its surroundings.
6. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT Bayu Buana Gemilang with a gas volume that will be supplied at 5 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) from Jatinegara I Field for industrial and electricity needs.
7. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT PLN (Persero) and PT PLN Energi Primary Indonesia with a gas volume to be supplied of 12 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) for the electricity needs of the Muara Tawar Plant.
8. PJBG between PT Pertamina EP and PT PLN (Persero) and PT PLN Energi Primary Indonesia with a gas volume that will be supplied of 5 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) for the electricity needs of Tanjung Batu.
9. PJBG between PT PHE ONWJ and PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional with gas volume to be supplied reaches 23 billion British thermal per day (BBTUD) for the needs of the Refinery Unit VI Balongan Refinery Refinery.

PHE's Director of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Rachmat Hidajat, said that this series of signings of the cooperation could not be separated from PHE's efforts with all its subsidiaries to realize a strong supply chain and increase efficiency, which ultimately supports national energy security.
"Earth gas, with lower flexibility and carbon emissions, acts as a strategic transitional energy," he said, Tuesday, May 20.
