MG Electric Car Community Holds A Parade Supporting The Implementation Of Formula E Jakarta

JAKARTA - The MG Electric Vehicle Club Indonesia (MGEVC) community held a convoy titled 'Volt To Victory' at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), which was attended by 120 electric cars.

This event is also part of the support of the electric car community for the international Formula E 'Jakarta E-Prix 2025 racing event, which will take place on June 21.

MGEVC community coach Abdul Rahman Elly said that today is a historic day for the MGEVC community, especially since there are 120 electric cars that will enliven the Road to Formula E-Prix on June 21, 2025.

"Basically this is not just a matter of numbers, through this event we also want to convey that electric vehicles are now more relevant and ready to be part of the daily life of all of us," he said, in an official statement received on Tuesday, May 20.

Of the 120 MG electric cars that also attended, there were various models that also enlivened starting from MG 4 EV, MG ZS EV, MG 4 EV X-Power and MG Cyberster. Participants circled the circuit in a large convoy formation for five full rounds.

The session continued with the showcase 'Voltage Unleashed', where two high performance models of MG, namely the MG Cyberster and MG4 EV XPower, were given the stage to show the agility and capability of performance on the track through three special rounds.

On the same occasion, Syamsul Arifin, Chairman of MGEVC, said that this activity is proof of community commitment in encouraging the acceleration of the transition of electric vehicles in Indonesia.

"Through this convoy, we want to prove that electric cars are not only reliable, but also comfortable, safe, and environmentally friendly. This is our real contribution to supporting sustainable mobility as well as disseminating about the various advantages obtained by owning electric vehicles," said Syamsul.

He added that the MGEVC community also wants to introduce a modern lifestyle based on sustainability, while at the same time encouraging the public to experience a more sustainable driving experience.

On the other hand, Alisha Maharani Iswan Head of Marketing Communication Formula E Jakarta E-Prix, enthusiastically welcomed MGEVC's participation in the 2025 Road to Jakarta E-Prix campaign.
