Richele Scorenicki Reveals Heavy Challenges Of Learning To Dance For A Role In Syiric Films
JAKARTA - Young actress Richele Skornicki shared her experience in exploring traditional dance for the totality of her role in the film Syirik. Richele told how she had to learn to dance from scratch and was immediately guided by live dancers.
"He himself is the wife of his teacher Ki Dalang so they are with husband and wife and I was taught by his wife as a teenager who had no previous record of previous dancing experiences," said Richele Skornicki in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, May 20.
Not having a dance background makes this experience a big challenge for Richele. He admitted that he just realized that dancing is not as easy as it seems from the outside.
"This is a big challenge for me and I learned to dance, which just found out it's not as easy as what we see. Because their movements are much more flexible, detailed, they have to be comfortable and that's what's really really nervous," he explained.
The pressure is even more felt when he has to appear as authentic as possible in a rigid dance movement for beginners, but it must look flexible and according to traditional dance standards.
"It's like what I said earlier, I have to be super flexible and he's standardized like that. So that's what I myself can't and I'm afraid that my friends who watch it will be less satisfied," he said honestly.
Even so, Richele continues to undergo the training process diligently. Within a full month, he took part in an intense dance training session, interspersed with the script reading process.
