1,248 Ormas In Central Java Get Grant Funds Of IDR 125.2 Billion

JATENG - The Central Java Provincial Government (Central Java) allocated a grant budget of IDR 125.2 billion in 2025 for 1,248 community organizations (ormas) in the region.

Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen said that grant funds until May 2025 had been disbursed at 44.32 percent or around Rp55 billion to 567 mass organizations.

He reminded all mass organizations receiving grant funds to use them responsibly and have a direct impact on the community.

"Don't just be a formality, but really benefit the community," said Gus Yasin, his nickname, in Semarang, Tuesday, May 20, was confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed by him during the Establishment of Integrity and Accountability in the Use of Grant Funds for Community Organizations (Ormas) at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Semarang.

According to him, the grant funds are part of the APBD which is allocated annually to mass organizations in Central Java.

Because, he continued, the government cannot carry out development in Central Java alone.

For this reason, mass organizations are considered as important partners, especially in maintaining religious harmony, inter-suku, and maintaining a safe and peaceful atmosphere.

"Until now, there are 20,044 legal organizations in Central Java that have been registered at Kesbangpol. Thank you to those who have been registered, so we can distribute this assistance," he said.

Ormas, he said, is part of the socio-political power that can convey people's aspirations to the government, as well as become the government's mouthpiece in socializing existing programs.

"Ormas can criticize development at the provincial and district/city levels. We want mass organizations in Central Java to become a healthy organization, ranging from education, disability, women, to the economy," he said.

He hopes that the grants given can be used to assist the Central Java Provincial Government in implementing other programs that target the community directly, such as the Empowered District program, which includes illegal training and other social assistance.

This activity was followed online and offline by 968 representatives of mass organizations, with 200 people present in person.

As a symbol, the Provincial Government handed over assistance to 10 mass organizations, including the Manbaul Ulum Pandanharum Islamic Foundation, PGSI Grobogan Regency, to the Central Java Province Religious Harmony Forum.
