Labor Day, BMKG Reminds Jakarta To Beware Of Rain Accompanied By Lightning
JAKARTA - Coinciding with the celebration of May Day or Labor Day, Saturday, May 1, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded DKI Jakarta residents to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in parts of the capital city.
"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning or lightning in the South and East Jakarta regions in the afternoon or evening until late at night", wrote BMKG on its official website quoted on Saturday, May 1.
In general, BMKG predicts the weather in Jakarta on Saturday morning until evenings are cloudy and light rain.
On Saturday morning, BMKG data also states that all areas of DKI Jakarta except the Thousand Islands are predicted to be sunny and cloudy in the morning. For the Thousand Islands, light rain is expected in the morning.
Entering the afternoon, the weather in the Seribu Islands is sunny. West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta, sunny and cloudy. Meanwhile, it is predicted that East Jakarta and South Jakarta will experience light rain.
Then in the evening, South Jakarta has light rain and for East Jakarta it is cloudy. Meanwhile, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are sunny and cloudy.
Meanwhile, the air temperature is predicted to range from 24-33 degrees Celsius. West Jakarta is in the range of 24-33 degrees and Central Jakarta 25-32 degrees Celsius.
Then, South Jakarta and East Jakarta are predicted to range from 25-33 degrees. The temperature in North Jakarta is in the range of 25-32, then the Thousand Islands is in the range of 27-30 degrees.
For humidity, BMKG predicts it is in the range of 60-90 percent. West Jakarta is in the 60-90 percent range and Central Jakarta 70-90 percent, then South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the 60-90 percent range.
Meanwhile, North Jakarta is predicted to range from 70-90, and the Thousand Islands to be around 75-90 percent.
