Will Sandang Hold Hajah, Tya Arestya: Learn To Be Better
JAKARTA - Actress and presenter Tya Arestya shared stories and reflections ahead of her departure to perform the pilgrimage. Together with her husband, Tya is preparing physically and mentally to undergo one of the most important pillars of Islam.
"The preparation is definitely in addition to being manasik, yes, many people are preparing their hearts too because this is also physical worship. It's also that my husband and I are like sports are also followed up, hopefully healthy, more there," said Tya Arestya when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta.
Even though it has only been a year of planning Hajj, this wish has been embedded in Tya's heart for a long time. He realized that the pilgrimage was not only a matter of financial readiness, but also about the readiness of the heart and spirituality.
"If the plan is new, yes, it's only been a year, it's just that I want it to take a long time, so what's called hajj or Umrah is an invitation, not necessarily the one who can get an invitation, financially, with a heart. Hopefully this year the husband's invitation and I," he said.
Now, before departure, Tya also increases her prayers and istigfar so that everything is easier.
"Right now, I'm still here, so we still pray a lot and then there are lots of istigfar, hopefully everything will be launched," he continued.

When asked about the title of 'hajah' which he will face in the future, Tya conveyed a wise view. For him, holding the title is not only a matter of symbolicism, but also a responsibility to continue to learn and deepen religious knowledge.
"(Bakal gets a hajah title after Hajj) Yes, of course, if you are responsible, if you have knowledge, it will increase here, if now my knowledge is like this, maybe later the knowledge can increase but it can't be like leaving once the science hajj is immediately exorbitant, right? It can't be like that," he explained.
Tya also emphasized that the process of becoming a better person cannot be instant. Everything must be passed in stages, with sincere intentions and efforts.
"So in my opinion, it's human, humans are slowly learning, the important thing is to learn to be better, so don't back down, step by step, go there," he concluded.
