New Robot NVIDIA Can Learn Only By Watching

JAKARTA In the Computex 2025 event in Taiwan, NVIDIA introduced their latest innovation in robotics: the Isaac GR00T N1.5 platform, along with two advanced training tools called GR00T-Dreams and GR00T-Mimic. This technology allows robots to learn new tasks quickly and efficiently using AI-based simulations.

This innovation drastically cuts the timing and cost of training, so that robots can adapt real industrial tasks by simply watching humans or analyzing images.

Isaac GR00T N1.5 is the first major update of NVIDIA's robotic humanoid foundation model, which can be fully adapted to physical learning and reasoning.

"The physical and robotics AI will trigger the next industrial revolution. From the AI brain to the robot, the simulated world for training, to the AI supercomputer to build a NVIDIA foundation model providing all building blocks on the journey of robotics development," said NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, quoted by VOI from Android Headlines.

A number of well-known robotics companies such as Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Fourier, Foxlink, Galbot, Mentee Robotics, NEURA Robotics, General Robotics, Skild AI, and XPENG Robotics are rumored to be adopting the Isaac platform from NVIDIA.

GR00T-Drams & GR00T-Mimic: Fast And Efficient Training

NVIDIA also showcased two main tools: GR00T-Drams Blueprint and GR00T-Mimic, which are designed to accelerate the robot learning process, as well as lower costs.

For example, GR00T-Drams works like a human dream that can help solve problems while sleeping. If given an image of a task such as compiling a box, this tool will create a simulated video of the robot doing the task. Then, the system will extract important actions and teach them to robots to do that in the real world.

Meanwhile, the GR00T-Mimic allows robots to learn by watching humans perform tasks just a few times, then using simulated software to create thousands of training examples, such as downloading the ability directly to robots such as in the film The Matrix.

This new approach is very useful in an industrial environment, where robots must quickly learn and adapt to continuously changing tasks. With Isaac GR00T N1.5 and its AI tools, robots not only become smarter, but also faster and cost-effective for training.

With this launch, NVIDIA insists its position is not only as the leader of GPU and AI, but also as a major player in the future robotics revolution.
