The Allegation Against Budi Arie Setiadi Is Framing Evil
JAKARTA Circulated the indictment of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) in an online gambling case that dragged Budi Arie Setiadi's name.
The former Minister of Communication and Information is said to have received money related to the omission of online gambling sites that should have been blocked by the Ministry of Communication and Information (now Komdigi).
Secretary General of the Underground Forces (Pasbata), Budi Kuntoro, assessed that the accusation was a form of evil framing aimed at defaming Budi Arie's good name.
"We consider this to be a heinous slander built from pieces of information that are incomplete and manipulated in such a way that it forms a narrative that misleads the public," said Budi Kuntoro.
During his tenure as Minister of Communication and Information, he said, Budi Arie Setiadi had never received money or percent from any party related to blocking online gambling sites.
"There is no evidence to support this claim. In fact, Budi Arie is known as a firm and consistent figure in fighting online gambling in Indonesia," he continued.

Pasbata condemned the efforts to kill a character like this, which he said often occurred ahead of important political momentum.
"This kind of framing is a form of destroying someone's reputation in immoral ways, and we ask law enforcement officials to work professionally, fairly, and transparently," he stressed.
He appealed to the public not to be easily provoked by information that has not been verified and always upholds the principle of presumption of innocence.
