Allegedly Cheating On A Friend's Wife, A Man In Cengkareng Was Stabbed After Dinner Together
JAKARTA - A man with the initials ML (34) died after being stabbed by his own friend, U (20), in Gang Barokah, Kalideres Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. This sadistic act occurred on Thursday (8/5) night at around 23.00 WIB.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, revealed that the motive for this murder was based on the perpetrator's heartache, who suspected that the victim had an affair with his wife.
"The perpetrator felt betrayed because the victim was suspected of having an illicit relationship with his wife," said Kombes Twedi, Friday (16/5).
This tragic event began with the togetherness of the two since the morning. ML and U are known to clean the grass on an empty land until noon. After that, they separated and agreed to meet again.
In the afternoon, the two of them returned together with friends to chat and drink until 17.00 WIB. After the meeting disbanded, U contacted ML and invited him to dinner.
"At around 21.00 WIB, the victim fulfilled the perpetrator's invitation to eat together at a shop near the scene," explained Twedi.

However, without the victim's knowledge, the perpetrator turned out to have prepared a knife before the meeting.
After finishing eating, the two continued the chat while walking casually along the Barokah Gang. In the middle of the conversation, U suddenly took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.
The victim fought back and both struggled on the ground. However, because he was already injured, the victim was unable to fight longer.
"When the victim was face down, the perpetrator again stabbed the knife into the victim's back twice, until the victim finally didn't move anymore," said Twedi.
The perpetrator then fled, leaving the victim lying at the location.
For this heinous act, the perpetrator was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder and Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding ordinary murder.
"The maximum penalty is the death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment of up to 20 years," said Kombes Twedi.
The police are currently investigating the case and preparing case files for further legal proceedings.
