JAKARTA Indonesia Digital Forum (IDF), the first collaboration between three digital institutions, was officially held on Thursday, May 15. This event was held to strengthen the digital ecosystem evenly in the country.
The forum which is expected to be present every year is organized by the Indonesian Internet Domain Name Manager (PANDI), the Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), and the All-Indonesian Telecommunications Association (ATSI).
The event, which carries the theme Collaboration on Building a Digital Ecosystem in Indonesia, was inaugurated by Deputy Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Rachmad Wibowo. In his remarks, Rachmad said that this forum was important to strengthen cyber security.
Stakeholders or stakeholders can exchange insights into the latest technological issues, including various challenges that the state may face in the future. Therefore, all parties need to work together in securing and developing cybersecurity.
"There is nothing greater than other agencies. We must not assume that an agency is incompetent, all of that is important," said Rachmad. "(I) hope that this IDF can continue and can be held every year and provide input to the government."
Meanwhile, PANDI Chairman John Sihar Simanjuntak said that this forum was held to determine the priorities of the digital ecosystem. The reason is, technology continues to develop rapidly and its ecosystem is increasingly complex to understand.
