Baby Boy Found In Rented Which Is Being Renovated At Pasar Minggu

JAKARTA - Residents of Gang Hikmah, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, were surprised by the discovery of a baby boy in a rented building that was being renovated, right next to Musala Ulmi Kulsum, on Wednesday, May 14.

Pasar Minggu Police Chief, Kompol Anggiat Sinambela, confirmed the incident on Thursday, May 15.

Baby boy was found in Gang Hikmah RT 04/RW 08, to be precise next to Musala Ulmi Kulsum. The location is in a rented building that is being renovated," said Anggiat.

The discovery of the baby began when a resident named Kadim was checking the musala water pipe which is located close to the building. At that time, Kadim met the owner of a rented house named Agus. The two then heard the sound of the baby crying from inside the building.

After further inspection, it turned out that it was true that there was a baby boy in good health. Residents then reported the findings to the police to investigate who the parents had the heart to leave the baby.

"We immediately went to the scene, looked for witnesses, and traced the presence of CCTV around the area for investigation purposes," Anggiat continued.

One of the residents, Sri Utama, who came to the location, expressed her willingness to take care of the baby temporarily. He submitted a request to the Ragunan Village and Ragunan Health Center to take care of the baby, and his request was granted.

The baby, along with bags and items found with him, has been taken to Sri Utama's residence for temporary treatment, "concluded Anggiat.
