Riau Islands Police Arrest Carrier 1 Kg Of Economy At Harbour Bay Batam
The Riau Islands Police arrested two men who were caught carrying 1 kg of heroin and 12.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine at Harbor Bay, Batam City.
"The two perpetrators with the initials B and R, are interrelated, together carrying the two types of narcotics," said the Director of Narcotics at the Riau Islands Police, Kombes Anggoro Wicaksono, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 14.
The arrests of the two perpetrators began with information from the public that two men were carrying and storing heroin and methamphetamine in the Harbor Bay area.
Furthermore, the Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Riau Islands Police investigated the information and arrested the two perpetrators at the Harbor Bay exit.
"From the results of the search, it was found that a white plastic package contained two clear plastic packs which were suspected to contain heroin weighing 1000 grams (1 kg) and 12.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine," he said.
The two perpetrators and evidence were immediately taken to the Riau Islands Regional Police for further investigation.

It is suspected that the heroin and methamphetamine in the perpetrators came from Malaysia, which was brought through Batam to the end of Jakarta.
"Meanwhile, it is still in the development process, it is indicated that this is a network from Malaysia. It is planned that the goods will be brought to Jakarta," said Anggoro.
