West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Sita Tiga Wahana At Air Manis Beach Related To Corruption Cases
The Special Criminal Investigation Team from the West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office confiscated three tourist rides located in the Air Manis Beach area, Padang City, related to the investigation of the alleged corruption case being handled.
"Our confiscation is carried out in the context of investigating the alleged corruption case that is being handled," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office M. Rasyid accompanied by the Head of the Investigation Section Lexy Fatharani Kurniawan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 14.
He said the case being handled by the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office was the alleged corruption in the misuse of the Trans Padang Bus operational subsidy and the internal budget of the Padang Sejahtera Mandiri Regional Public Company (Perumda) in 2021.
The case has been raised by investigators from the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office from the investigation stage to the investigation stage since January 2025.
"So, the confiscation that we are currently carrying out is part of the process of collecting evidence in investigating the alleged corruption case," Lexy explained.
Based on observations at the location, the three rides that were confiscated looked abandoned and had not been operating for a long time, namely the snack park, playground, and dock.
After the confiscation process, the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office investigator team continued their activities at the PSM Perumda Office located in the Air Manis Beach area, Padang City.

Lexy explained that the confiscation carried out by investigators was based on the determination from the Padang District Court Number 2/PenPid.Sus-TPK-GLD/2025/PN Pdg dated May 7, 2025.
The prosecutor's office revealed that the alleged corruption case had caused state financial losses of around Rp. 2.9 billion, with the mode used being to cut the bus's operational budget to build rides.
"Until now, we are still continuing the investigation process. We have also pocketed several names as potential suspects," he explained.
He emphasized that the West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office would immediately determine the suspect and investigate who enjoyed the flow of corruption funds.
