President Prabowo Affirms Indonesia's Commitment To Maintain World Order
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto in front of the delegation of the 19th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), emphasized Indonesia's commitment to help maintain world order based on the state constitution.
"Let me emphasize that our country's constitution, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, explicitly mandates the Indonesian people to participate in maintaining world order based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice," said President Prabowo as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 14.
In his speech at an event held at the DPR building, the Head of State stated that these principles were not just rhetoric, but to become a moral compass and the main policy basis in Indonesian foreign politics.
In the world context that is now hit by conflict, geopolitical tensions, and rivalry in great power, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of the active role of Muslim-majority countries to become balancing forces that carry a message of peace and justice.
"Since its establishment in 1999, the parliamentary associations of Islamic countries have been determined to become bridges to parliamentary diplomacy that strengthen solidarity, voice justice, and present solutions to complicated problems in global life," he said.

At the 19th PUIC Conference, President Prabowo addressed more than 400 delegates from countries that are members of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation from 38 countries, including 10 observer countries.
The 19th PUIC Conference was held at the DPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, from May 12 to 15, 2025 with the theme Good Governance and Strong Institutions as Pillars of Resilience.
