Lost Suitcase? Google Has A Solution! Check In New Find Hub App!
JAKARTA - After a less smooth launch in 2024, the Google Find My Device application has now officially changed its name to the 'Find Hub'. This application comes with a variety of new features, including the built-in ability to track baggage.
The main goal of updating the Find Hub app is to make it easier for users to track more of their personal items. Google made it happen in collaboration with various partners who are now integrating their tracking devices and tags into the Find Hub ecosystem. This opens up more options for users, not only limited to standard tracker tags such as Pebblebee and Chipolo.
Going forward, users can find baggage with built-in tracking technology from brands like Mokobara, as well as special tags like those from Peak that can help keep your ski equipment safe. In addition, the Disney-themed Bluetooth tag from Pixbee will also be available later this year. For Moto Tag users, Ultra-Wideband (UWB)-based tracking will be enabled via app updates later this month.
The location sharing feature has also been updated in this application, allowing users to share locations in real-time to contacts, friends, or family. When this feature is active, users can view contact profile photos in the People tab on the Find Hub app, including contacts that are hidden from the map display.

To increase its functionality, Google will also add satellite connectivity to share location through supported devices and operators, which are planned to come later this year. With this feature, users can still share their location even if they are in an area without mobile networks, making it a very useful safety tool.
In addition, Google also announced cooperation with airlines such as Aer Lingus, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, and Singapore Airlines. Through this collaboration, users can share the location of their tracker tags to help find missing luggage or prevent luggage from falling behind while traveling.
Find Hubs will be available May 14, 2025, for devices running Android 6 or higher.
