JAKARTA Xiaomi managed to lead the smartphone market in Indonesia based on the results of Canalys studies. This achievement was achieved thanks to the positive trend since the second quarter of last year until the first quarter of this year.
Canalys data shows that Xiaomi has succeeded in controlling 19 percent of the market share in the country. According to Wentao Zhao, Country Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, this achievement is proof that they have won the trust of consumers.
"This achievement is not just a number, but also a representation of Xiaomi's commitment to continue to understand and meet the unique needs of the Indonesian market. This positive response further spurs us to continue to contribute," Zhao said in a statement received by VOI.
Zhao believes that this achievement is supported by the Xiaomi portfolio which has managed to reach various market segments. Over the past few months, the company has launched mobile phones for various groups, from entry to flagship.
