Debt Collector Persecuting Light Steel Factory Employees In Cengkareng Arrested By Police

The West Jakarta Metro Police managed to secure a debt collector or debt collector with the initials J who committed violence against employees of a lightweight steel factory in the Daan Mogot area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The arrests were made on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung, confirmed the arrest.

"Debt collector initials J, who had rocked the fence and forced his way into the factory area to beat one of the employees, was successfully secured," said AKBP Arfan when confirmed, Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

In the action, suspect J and three of his colleagues came to the factory to collect hundreds of millions of rupiah in debt to a woman who apparently did not work at the location.

The information they received came from the woman's ex-husband, who allegedly gave false information about the workplace.

When the perpetrators forced their way in, the victim with the initials C tried to obstruct and eventually became the target of violence. As a result of the incident, C suffered minor physical injuries.

"Currently, we have only secured one perpetrator, namely J. We have pocketed the identity of the other perpetrators and the pursuit process is still ongoing," he said.

For his actions, perpetrator J was charged with minor abuse and Article 335 of the Criminal Code regarding coercion with violence.

Previously, debt collectors or debt collectors again made an act in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta. The incident occurred on Monday, May 12, 2025.

This time, debt collectors abused an employee of a lightweight steel factory on Jalan Daan Mogot KM 11, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

The incident was caught on CCTV cameras. In the footage, the perpetrators numbered 4 people and had terrorized by shaking the fence at the factory's door.

After successfully entering, the perpetrators searched for the names listed in the debt collection order. In fact, they were angry and tried to enter the company's office.

Employees are trying to prevent debt collectors from entering the office. As a result, one of the employees with the initials C received physical violence, which was slammed by the perpetrator. The victim with the initials C then reported to the West Jakarta Metro Police.
