Pertamina's Fuel Tank Truck, A BUMN Company, Hits A Number Of Kiosks In East Jakarta
JAKARTA - A tank truck belonging to Pertamina crashed into a number of kiosks on the side of Jalan Dr Sumarno, Milling, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Wednesday, May 14, morning.
"Those who were hit by paint shops and meatball kiosks. Don't know whether there are victims or not, they are still in the evacuation process," said Roy, a local resident.
Pertamina's fuel oil tanker (BBM) is suspected of having failed brakes until it finally hit a number of business places on the side of the road.
The accident attracted the attention of local residents and other motorists who passed by the scene. A number of residents approached the scene to witness the accident.

"The fuel truck maneuvered to the left of the road and climbed onto the sidewalk. The truck also hit the PLN electric pole until it broke," said Roy.
Currently, Pertamina's fuel truck is still at the scene waiting for the evacuation process from the officer's tow truck.
"Initially there was a rumbling sound at the time of the incident. When we saw it, it turned out that there was this accident," he said.
Due to this incident, the traffic flow on Jalan Dr. Sumarno towards Pulogebang Terminal, Milling, Cakung District, East Jakarta, experienced a long traffic jam. Vehicles passing were forced to queue because many other motorists were also watching the accident.
