Police Officer Involved In Drug Case, Two Members Of Tana Tidung Police Arrested
TANJUNG SELOR - Two police officers from the Tana Tidung Police, North Kalimantan, were detained in the Profession and Security Division (Bidpropam) of the North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara) for allegedly being involved in a drug case. Both have the initials Bripka MA and Bripda RS.
This arrest is related to the disclosure of the distribution of methamphetamine in Sesap Hilir District which was carried out by the local police on May 7, 2025.
The head of the Bidpropam Polda Kaltara, Kombes Pol Badminton Permadi, confirmed that the two police officers had been arrested and were undergoing intensive examination.
"Both of them have been detained since May 7. The investigation is still ongoing," said Maritime Affairs at his office, Tuesday, May 13.
He added that his party was also investigating evidence in the form of cellphones belonging to the two individuals. The examination was carried out with a team of experts from the National Police Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) in Surabaya.
"Conversations and transactions on mobile phones are being examined. Their status is still as witnesses, but if proven, we will definitely process it according to the law," said Mikhadi.

Meanwhile, Sesayap Hilir Police Chief, Ipda Dedy Timang, said that the three civilians arrested in the operation had been named suspects. They are SR (37) from Sesayap Selor Village, as well as RD (29) and IS (32) from Sepala Dalung Village.
"The three suspects have been detained and the legal process is ongoing at the Sesayap Hilir Police," said Dedy.
Dedy explained that the disclosure of this case stems from public reports about suspicious activities on Jalan Kuburan, RT 003, Sepala Dalung Village. The police immediately conducted an investigation and managed to apprehend the three perpetrators at the location.
From the hands of the suspects, the police confiscated a number of evidences, including 10 packages of methamphetamine with various sizes, Rp1,825,000 in cash, two cellphones, one white Honda Beat motorbike, and a number of methamphetamine suction devices.
