Gerindra Is Predicted To Master The 2029 Election

Political observer Hendri Satrio predicts the Gerindra Party will control the general elections, both legislative and presidential and vice presidential elections in 2029.

He revealed that since the 2009 election, Gerindra has shown a significant upward trend in votes, leading Prabowo Subianto to win the 2024 presidential election and make him the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"That's why, I predict that Gerindra will be ready to become the overall champion in 2029," said Hensat, Hendri's nickname, Sunday, May 11, 2025.

He said that until now there are two political parties that have won the title of overall champion during the direct election, namely PDI-P and Democrats. PDIP managed to do so when Joko Widodo won the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections, while Democrats won it with the victory of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in 2004 and 2009.

"This general champion means the legislative election champion (Pileg) and the presidential election (Pilpres)," added Hensat.

According to the founder of the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute, reflecting on the results of the 2024 General Election, Gerindra has a great opportunity to follow these two political forces. Moreover, with Prabowo Subianto being elected as President in 2024, Gerindra's steps to win the 2029 Legislative Election are wide open.

"As long as there is no extraordinary incident, I think Gerindra will be at the forefront of winning both the legislative and presidential elections in 2029," said Hensat.
