Signed PP THR For PNS, TNI And Polri, Jokowi: To Encourage Increased Consumption And Purchasing Power

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) claimed to have signed a presidential regulation (PP) on the provision of holiday allowances (THR) and the 13th salary for state civil servants (ASN). Jokowi stated that the THR would be paid H-10 Eid. Then, the 13th salary is paid ahead of the new school year for school children

"I have signed a Government Regulation that stipulates the provision of THR and thirteenth salary for state apparatus, be it civil servants, CPNS, TNI, Polri, and state officials, retirees, pension recipients, benefit recipients, last Wednesday, April 28," he said, quoted from the account. His official Twitter, Friday, April 30.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta hopes that the THR payment can increase people's purchasing power. That way, the level of household consumption will increase.

"The THR is given to encourage increased consumption and purchasing power of the people, which in turn can leverage national economic growth," he said.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the THR will be disbursed on D-10 to D-5 Eid with a budget ceiling of Rp. 30.6 trillion.

"The amount of THR is very significant, and we hope it will boost economic activity," he said in a virtual press conference for our APBN, Thursday, April 22.

The state treasurer also revealed that more detailed information would be provided after the standard regulations had been released by the government.
