A 2-year-old Boy In South Jakarta DIEd By Mother Kandung And Her Boyfriend
JAKARTA - A two-year-old baby girl with the initials R was found dead in a pathetic condition, strongly suspected of being a victim of brutal abuse by her own biological mother and lover. The two perpetrators, each with the initials N (30) and E (31), have been arrested by the police.
This tragic case began when the two of them took the victim to the Kebayoran Baru Health Center, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/5/2025). The medical officer who examined the victim's body immediately found a number of severe bruises, including a sprained hand. Unfortunately, the poor baby was dead when he arrived at the health facility.
"The condition of the victim is very concerning, there are bruises all over his body, sprained hands, and when examined he has died," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Murohih.
After receiving a report from the puskesmas, the police immediately conducted an investigation. The results of the investigation revealed irregularities in the chronology of the victim's death. A number of witnesses were examined, and their statements led strongly to allegations of violence that led to death.
The Head of Women and Children Service (PPA) of the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim, AKP Citra Ayu, said that at first the two perpetrators had given false information. They claimed the victim died in a fight with his brother. However, this reason was considered suspicious by witnesses.
"The reason is that the victim had a fight with her brother, but it doesn't seem reasonable because the wounds on her body are very serious," said Citra.
