Skytrain Pengumpan Untuk LRT Dan MRT Akan Dibangun, Ini Rutenya

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed that routes for skytrains that will function as feeders for the Jabodebek and Jakarta MRT LRT have been prepared.

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said there are two skytrain routes that will operate. One is for feeders at the Harjamukti LRT Staisun, Cububur and the other is at the Lebak Bulus MRT Station.

Dudy revealed that the development of this skytrain will rely on investment. Therefore, the Ministry of Transportation will soon hold meetings with a number of potential investors, such as Belarus, Germany, and two companies from China.

"The plan is that next week there will be investors gathering. We are offering investors about skytrains," he said.

As for the construction, Dudy said the Ministry of Transportation has also communicated with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to utilize local government-owned assets or public facilities (Pemda) as locations for the construction of skytrain poles.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Risal Wasal explained that the type of skytrain chosen was like a cable car. However, it is not hung on the cable, but by placing the rail on the train.

Furthermore, Risal said that type was chosen because construction costs tend to be more economical. However, the end cost will depend on how many stations are.

"The cost of operating is cheaper, and the cost of building it per km is cheaper, depending on the number of stations and the number of trains," said Risal.
