Hasto Staff Regarding The Sinking Order: Not A Cellphone But Clothes After 'Accompaniment'
JAKARTA - The PDIP DPP Secretariat staff, Kusnadi, said the 'drowning' order was related to the illegal activities that became one of the traditions of party cadres.
This statement was conveyed by Kusnadi when he was a witness at the trial of the alleged bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of the DPR and the obstruction of investigation with the defendant Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto.
"There was another order from Sri Rejeki Hastomo, 'Just drowned that one, don't think about love and others'?" asked the prosecutor during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, May 8.
"As far as I remember, sir," replied Kusnadi.
Hearing the testimony, the prosecutor asked the witness to explain the context of the investigation in question. Because, it feels that there are irregularities.
Kusnadi then stated that he was infatuated by the clothes in the flowing river. Kusnadi emphasized that there was no oddity in his statement because it was a fact he knew and experienced.
"What is being carried out?" asked the prosecutor.
"You wear it, sir," said Kusnadi.
"Earlier, the language was above the cellphone that was used, then there was a response, okay thanks. Then suddenly there was a drowning, you then mentioned the rung. Does that think it's connected?" said the prosecutor.
"Continuate sir," said Kusnadi.
Hasto's staff later emphasized that his actions were garnering clothes because he received input from the secretariat. Moreover, this is an action that is lumar in PDIP.
"If PDIP is, sir, it's often, sir, it's a gathering, sir. Cadres who usually ask for prayers, sir," said Kusnadi.
"Cadres asking for prayers?" asked the prosecutor.
"Yes, let's become members of the DPR, let's be regents, sir," said Kusnadi.
"Then what do you want to do with your clothes?" said the prosecutor.
"Yes, I want to participate in the sustenance, sir," said Kusnadi
The prosecutor then asked questions to confirm the object that was carried out. Kusnadi then mentioned his clothes that were draped in the river flow
"Not the cellphone that was asked for above?" asked the prosecutor.
"No," said Kusnadi.

In the alleged bribery case, Hasto was jointly charged with advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah; the former convict of the Harun Masiku case, Saeful Bahri; and Harun Masiku gave money amounting to 57,350 Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp600 million to Wahyu in the 2019-2020 period.
The money is allegedly given with the aim that Wahyu strives for the KPU to approve the request for an interim replacement (PAW) for the Elected Legislative Candidate for the Electoral Region (Dapil) of South Sumatra (Sumsel) I on behalf of the Members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period Riezky Aprilia to Harun Masiku.
In addition, Hasto was also charged with obstructing the investigation by ordering Harun, through the Aspiration House guard, Nur Hasan, to submerge Harun's cell phone into the water after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested members of the General Election Commission (KPU) for the 2017-2022 period Wahyu Setiawan.
Not only Harun Masiku's cellphone, Hasto is also said to have ordered his aide, Kusnadi, to drown his cell phone in anticipation of forced attempts by KPK investigators.
Hasto is threatened with a crime as regulated in Article 21 and Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 65 Paragraph (1) and Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1 jo. Article 64 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
