Ambassador Ouadia Says Goodbye, Foreign Minister Sugiono Appreciates Indonesia- Morocco's Increased Bilateral Cooperation
JAKARTA - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono appreciated the increase in bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Morocco, when he received a friendly call from Ambassador Ouadia Benabdellah in his office, Hari Kami.
Ambassador Ouadia has been the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Indonesia since January 2017.
"In today's meeting, Foreign Minister Sugiono expressed his high appreciation for the dedication and contribution of Ambassador Ouadia while carrying out his duties in Indonesia," wrote the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement Thursday, May 8.
Ambassador Ouadia is considered to have played an important role in strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Morocco.
One of the main achievements during his tenure was the signing of the Indonesian Strategic Partnership Memorandum (MoU) Marsoko on December 22, 2023. This MoU is expected to be a strong basis for expanding cooperation in various fields between the two countries in the future.
Not only bilateral matters, but Ambassador Ouadia is also actively strengthening relations between Morocco and ASEAN. In addition, he also served as Dean of the diplomatic corps of African and Arab countries in Indonesia, showing a broad and strategic diplomatic role while in Jakarta.

The relationship between the two countries is getting closer through cooperation in various fields, including trade, education and culture. Morocco is also one of Indonesia's important partners in the North African region.
