PTPP Calls Manikin Dam Physical Development 83.1 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) noted that the progress of the strategic project in the form of the construction of the Manikin Dam Package 2 in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, has reached 83.143 percent.

PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said this realization exceeded the target of 82.687 percent.

"By prioritizing technology such as building formation modeling (BIM) and adequate ERP systems, PTPP is ready to become a strategic partner in Indonesia's development that is more advanced and resilient," said Joko.

The Manikin Dam project is part of the government's efforts to realize national food security and flood control in eastern Indonesia.

With a contract value of Rp933.6 billion, the project, which has been started since January 15, 2019 and is targeted to be completed on December 15, 2025, is carried out through an operational cooperation scheme (JO) with a proportion of PTPP as a subsidiary of 72.5 percent.

The great benefits of this dam project include the provision of raw water of 700 liters/second, providing irrigation water for 310 hectares of agricultural land and flood control that often hit the surrounding area, as well as opening up the potential for the development of water-based tourist areas.

Joko said one of the technical advantages of this project is the use of a parallel system between tunnel excavations and concrete lining in tunneling work, as well as the implementation of a unique and efficient spillway Morning Glory design, where water flows through vertical shares and flows into a tunnel that directs the water flow back into the river.

Joko said that PTPP as a construction company that supports national development is committed to being able to complete infrastructure development.

"Especially those included in the Asta Cita program, one of which is the food security program, in accordance with quality health standards and targets," he said.

In addition, he said that in its operations, PTPP will continue to present innovation and sustainable development in various sectors.
