Two Things That Munarman Will Challenge In The Case Of Terrorism

JAKARTA - A team of lawyers for the former FPI frontman Munarman will file a pretrial on the terrorism case that ensnared his client.

In that pretrial, two things will be challenged, namely, the determination of the suspect and the arrest process.

"Of course the pretrial will continue, there are two things that we will sue in the pretrial. The first is the determination of the suspect and the second is the matter of the arrest process," said Munarman's lawyer, Sugito Atmo Prawiro, to VOI, Friday, April 30.

But about when the lawsuit will be filed, Sugito has not been able to confirm it. However, it was said, in the near future a team of lawyers from Munarman would immediately send or register the lawsuit to the court.

"In the near future the pokonya," he said.

The reason for the pretrial action was aimed at determining the suspect and the arrest process because it was considered unfounded. In particular, the process of arresting the suspect violated the rights of the suspect.

"Of course there are considerations why we will propose a pretrial. Especially the arrest process," he said.

Previously, Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 on Tuesday, April 27 at around 3:30 p.m. WIB at the Modern Hills Housing, Cinangka, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

During the arrest process, Munarman was not given the opportunity to explain anything. In fact, to just use sandals. When he arrived at Polda Metro Jaya, Munarman was taken blindfolded and handcuffed.

Munarman is suspected of mobilizing other people to commit criminal acts of terrorism, conspiring to commit criminal acts of terrorism and withholding information about criminal acts of terrorism.

After Munarman was arrested, the Densus 88 Team also conducted a search at the former FPI banned mass organization office in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. During the search, the team found the explosive raw materials for TATP or triacetone triperoxide, acetone and nitrates.

In addition, Muanrman was already named a suspect a week before his arrest or April 20. Determination of the suspect is known based on a statement from the National Police.
