Google Will Present Android Battery Health Features On Latest Pixel Phones
JAKARTA Google is developing a battery health feature that affects detecting batteries on Android devices. This feature similar to Battery Health on the iPhone will be released for Pixel.
A Google developer on the Android Issue Tracker public website, reported by Android Authority, said that this feature is only available on Pixel 8A and later. They won't be bringing this to older phone models.
"The Battery Health Indicator Feature is currently supported in Beta 3 on Pixel 8A and Pixel 9 products, including 9 Pro Folds. Due to product limitations, this feature will not be available on the old Pixel devices circulating in the market," wrote Google.
Google launched this battery health indicator for testers of Android 16 in beta last March. This test is a very important stage as Battery Health on Android has long been awaited by users.

Google was first seen developing this feature in December 2023. This means that the development of this feature will take more than two years. According to the latest findings, this feature can notify users if their battery is damaged.
The concept is almost similar to the one on the iPhone, but Google won't show the percentage of the battery. The company only displays simple captions like 'normal' if the battery is fine.
If you wait for the presence of the Battery Health feature on older devices, this will not happen. Google insists that it cannot launch the feature on previous devices due to its software support, including in the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.
