Google Ready To Collaborate With Kemendikdasmen For AI Curriculum Flats

JAKARTA - Google Indonesia stated its readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Basic and Medium Education (Kemendikdasmen), to support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum and coding in the future.

Although there is no certainty about Google and Youtube's involvement in this new curriculum, Head of Government Relations and Public Policy of Southeast Asia, Danny Ardianto said he was ready to collaborate.

"Actually, in general, if the curriculum is the authority of the government. So actually we are ready to collaborate with the government, if there is a curriculum that wants to then get input from Google," Danny said on Wednesday, May 7 in Jakarta.

Google Indonesia's commitment to providing educational access to all Indonesian people has also been demonstrated through the launch of two new initiatives, namely the Gemini Academy and the Educator Academy.

Although it does not directly support the implementation of the AI curriculum and coding, Danny emphasized that these two initiatives are expected to be a means to enrich the learning experience, both for students and teaching staff.

"Actually, it's not directly as an automatic form to enter the curriculum. But this is the first step that we are. Hopefully, a house of education that is also one of the systems of the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is also used for creative creations, either with Al or with creators. Now, we will synergize again there," he explained.

He hopes that the Gemini Academy and the Educational Academy can complement existing learning modes with the latest technology.

"Hopefully, teachers can be more creative and empowered, especially in using AI and YouTube content as part of the teaching and learning process," he said.
