KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Appointed As Acting Director Of Investigation

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission, Tessa Mahardhika, has assumed a new position as acting (Plt) Director of Investigation. He replaced Endar Priantoro who was appointed East Kalimantan Police Chief.

"This appointment is part of efforts to refresh and strengthen institutions so that the implementation of KPK duties and functions continues optimally," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa in a written statement, Wednesday, May 7.

To replace Tessa, Cahya said, the anti-corruption commission appointed Budi Prasetyo, who was previously on duty with a team of spokespersons. This step is a form of KPK's commitment to ensuring the sustainability of corruption eradication work in each line, without interruption due to vacancies in office," he said.

Then, the KPK also appointed Asep Guntur Rahayu as Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution replacing Rudi Setiawan who was appointed as West Java Police Chief and Acting Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Aminuddin.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin replaced Pahala Nainggolan, who had entered retirement age at the beginning of last year. "This appointment is also expected to bring new enthusiasm in increasing the effectiveness and integrity of institutional work," said Cahya.

"The KPK leadership is committed to finding and placing the best candidates to occupy strategic positions in the structural and functional ranks so that they can support the main business process of the institution," he concluded.
