The Indonesian Consulate General In Jeddah Finds 30 Indonesian Citizens From Madura Who Will Hajj Without Hajj Visa
The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah found that as many as 30 Indonesian citizens (WNI) were allegedly going to perform Hajj without using an official Hajj visa.
Indonesian Consul General Yusron Ambary said dozens of Indonesian citizens were found by the Jamaah Protection Team (Linjam) of the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah while at Jeddah Airport.
"From the appearance, it is suspected that they are prospective pilgrims," said Yusron as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 6.
When questioned, they were a group from Madura and entered Saudi Arabia using a pilgrimage visa. They intend to have a pilgrimage.
"(They) are fully aware that pilgrimage visas are prohibited from hajj," said Yusron.
It is known that everyone pays Rp150 million to go to Saudi. However, when asked by the departing party, they chose to remain silent.
"The Linjam team again conveyed an appeal to them to rethink and not to continue their intention to perform the pilgrimage," he said.

"A total of 71 people do not use Hajj visas, but rather a visit visa and work visa," said Soetta Airport Police Chief Kombes Ronald Sipayung.
The disclosure of the non-procedural case is the result of the development of the previous case, namely the discovery of 10 prospective members of non-procedural Hajj pilgrims from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
