The Baby Dies, This Man Orates Alone At The Karawang Hospital

A resident of Telukjambe Timur District in Karawang Regency, West Java, orated alone in front of the Karawang Hospital because his son died after receiving treatment at the hospital.

A resident named Edwin Septianberasi used a megaphone loudspeaker in front of the Karawang Hospital lobby, Monday, May 5, demanding an explanation and accountability from the hospital for the death of his wife's newborn baby.

He asked the hospital and the health worker who handled his wife to come down and meet him immediately to give an explanation.

Edwin suspects that there was an error in medical treatment at the Karawang Hospital during the delivery process of his wife on April 29, 2025, resulting in the death of the baby. This was conveyed after he conducted a thorough study related to the handling of pregnant women.

He was very sad and devastated because the baby was the first child they had waited for for years. For what happened, Edwin demanded that the Karawang Hospital submit clarification and responsibility.

The form of responsibility is to change the system in handling patients, especially pregnant women, so that the father loses his baby on suspicion that medical treatment negligence will not happen again in the future.

Meanwhile, responding to negligence in handling pregnant women's patients, Director of the Karawang Hospital Andi Sariful Alam said his party would conduct an internal audit.

According to him, an internal audit needs to be done first to find out exactly what happened.
