Robbers Using Golok Wins The Head And Hands Of Ojol Passengers In Bandung Stones Arrested, 1 More Fugitive

The police stated that they had arrested one of the sadistic robbers with the initials RH who attacked an online motorcycle taxi passenger (ojol) in front of Bank OCBC Jalan Buahbatu, on Sunday, May 4 evening.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono explained that the incident began when the victim named Juwita was waiting for an ojol while holding a cellphone.

"The victim was holding a cellphone again because he was waiting for an ojol. A motorized vehicle riding together immediately took the cellphone from the victim," said the case exposure in Bandung, West Java, Monday, May 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

Budi said that the victim suffered stab wounds to his head and hands for trying to defend his cellphone.

The victim screamed for help, then local residents reported it to the nearest police station. Members immediately moved quickly and chased the perpetrator," he said.

He added that one perpetrator with the initials RH was arrested, while another perpetrator, GU, is still at large and is on the wanted list (DPO).

"I appeal to the suspect to surrender because our members continue to pursue until they are caught," he said.

As an anticipatory measure, the Police Chief has ordered personnel to carry out intensive patrols at vulnerable hours, especially at midnight.

"Therefore, I have ordered during vulnerable hours, especially after 12 pm, patrols must all go out to indicate that the police exist, so that the perpetrators do not dare to do so," he said.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
