Pertamina Ensures Avtur Stock For 2025 Hajj Flights Is Safe

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) ensures that distribution and stock of avtur are safe for 2025 Hajj flights at Hajj embarkation airports. The provision of avtur in Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) for the Sumbagut Hajj is still sufficient for the next 63 days.

"The avtur stock is in a safe condition at the Sumbagut Hajj embarkation AFT, including AFT Kualanamu, AFT Hang Nadim, AFT Minangkabau, and AFT Sultan Iskandar Muda. We are also committed to supporting the success and smooth running of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage," said Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut Susanto August Satria, in his statement.

He explained that the resilience of Avtur's stock in AFT for the Sumbagut Hajj embarkation reached 63 days, with an additional plan for Avtur supply of 14,600 kiloliters (kl) in early May 2025.

When compared to 2019 or conditions before the pandemic, the estimated 2025 Hajj flights at AFT Contribute are predicted to experience an increase in avtur consumption by around 38%.

"When compared to 2024, the estimated 2025 Hajj flights in the Sumbagut region AFT are predicted to increase the volume of Avtur by approximately 2% from 30,814 kiloliters to 31,297 kl," said Satria.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Corporate Operation and Services (COS) Manager Sumbagut Wawan Hermawan said that in addition to ensuring the availability of avtur stocks, his party also ensures that the aspects of health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) are well maintained.

Pertamina Patra Niaga will be on standby 24 hours during the departure period and the return of the 2025 Hajj pilgrims.

In addition, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut has also coordinated with various parties including airlines, airport authorities, local governments, and related institutions to participate in the success of the pilgrimage.

"We are also coordinating intensely with airlines and airport authorities to ensure the schedule for Hajj flights to the Sumbagut regional airport so that further avtur charging plans can be carried out for the operation of the 2025 Hajj flight," explained Wawan.
