Minister Of PKP Functions Association Of Subsidized Flats For Check And Balance

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait will form associations for residents of apartments, flats (rusun) and subsidized houses.

"In two weeks I will form an association of flat residents, apartments, so that they are balanced," said Ara in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, May 3, which was confiscated by Antara.

The establishment of this association is part of the continuity of supervision.

"So far, our country has never created apartment residential associations, apartment associations, and subsidized houses. As a government, I think there should be an important check and balance between elements of the developer and elements of society," said Ara.

The Ministry of PKP is ready to follow up on public complaints regarding housing through the Complaints for Integrated Housing Consumers for Educational Assistance and Friendly Assistance for Housing Consumer Complaints (TruTI-PKP).

The Ministry of PKP has launched the Integrated Housing Consumer Complaints Channel for Educational Assistance and Friendly Assistance for Housing Consumer Complaints (TruT-PKP).

The existence of the channel is expected to provide convenience in handling complaints for the public in the housing sector while at the same time encouraging information disclosure and public services of the Ministry of PKP.

Complaints on housing problems, according to data from the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) and the National Consumer Protection Agency (BPKN), are always ranked in the top three public complaints.

There were 270 complaints of housing problems during the 2024 period consisting of 116 complaints, including those recorded in BPKN data, 61 complaints entered the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, 49 Complaints for entering YLKI data, 35 Complaints for entering the SP4N/LAPOR application managed by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB).

Meanwhile, until 2025, the Ministry of PKP has received 7 complaints about housing problems which are still in the follow-up process.

IT IS TRUE that the PKP was formed with the intention of providing a consumer complaint channel as a data center for complaints from housing consumers as well as educational facilities and legal certainty for housing consumers.
