Nintendo Switch Update Version 20.0.0 Available, Check New Feature Now!

JAKARTA - Nintendo has released a version 20.0.0 Switch system update, which adds a Virtual Game Card, as well as GameShare support for compatible Nintendo Switch 2 games.

In this latest update, Nintendo added the Virtual Game Card feature, which is a list of digital games (including DLC and free games) which are displayed like game cards in the main menu.

You can move it between two Switch consoles and lend it to family members who are members of the same Nintendo Account group. Players can also limit access to Virtual Game Cards with PIN or account login.

While the GameShare feature, where certain games can be played together through local connections, but only between the Nintendo Switch 2 system, not the old Switch model.

In addition, there are also new settings that allow you to play digital games while connected to the internet without having to load a virtual card. The color of the eShop and News icons in the main menu is also updated.

There is also a System Transfer feature to Nintendo Switch 2, which allows you to move to Switch 2 either via local communication or by uploading data to a special server if your old Switch is no longer accessible. However, be careful: after uploading to the server, the old Switch will be reset to factory settings.

So, if you want to continue using the Nintendo Switch until you have the Nintendo Switch 2, the company recommends completing system transfers using local communications once you get the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
