Child Commissioner Asks UK Government To Block Applications That Use AI For Children's Sexual Content
JAKARTA - The UK Child Commissioner appealed to the government to ban applications that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to produce images of children's sexual 'deepfakes'.
The Commissioner of Children, Dame Rachel de Souza, expressed her concern about the content of sexual deepfakes on the safety, welfare and participation of children online.
Artificial intelligence has enormous potential to improve life, but in the wrong hands, artificial intelligence also carries a worrying risk to the safety of children online, Dame Rachel said.
He said that at this time he had heard many reports from girls, who claimed to avoid uploading photos online, to reduce the risk of becoming the target of the crime.
"Alats that use deepfake technology to make nude images of children should be illegal and I call on the government to take firm action against them," he stressed.
