Bogor City Government Offers Relocation Of Residents On The Cisadane Riverbank
BOGOR Bogor City Government (Pemkot) continues to intensify disaster mitigation efforts to minimize the risk of casualties due to natural disasters. One of the steps now taken is to offer relocation to residents living in disaster-prone areas.
Residents of RT 05, Kebon Kalapa Village, Central Bogor District, were offered relocation. Their houses, which are on par with the Cisadane River, are threatened with further landslides, considering that the area had experienced landslides several years ago. Until now, the former avalanche has not been repaired permanently.
"The mitigation must be maximized, because not only one house is located on the banks of the river, especially those who do not have a valid ownership certificate," said Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, while inspecting the location on Monday, April 28 afternoon.
He emphasized that this location requires serious attention given the potential for further landslides that could endanger residents.
"We, the Bogor City Government, offer a temporary solution. If residents are willing, they can move to Rusunawa Cibuluh whose room is still available. This is to anticipate further landslides, especially since residents still survive in vulnerable locations," said Jenal.
Head of the Housing and Settlement Service (Disperumkim) of Bogor City, Juniar Estiningsih, added that data collection on residents who are willing to be relocated is being carried out through coordination with the local RT and RW.

"Relocation to the flats is free for residents who are willing, including assistance for mobilization to the location," said Esti, Juniarti's nickname.
In addition, permanent improvements to landslides in the area are still under the authority of the Cisadane River Basin Center (BBWSCC). Currently, avalanche marks are only temporarily closed with tarpaulins.
