2 Honorary PLN Employees In Anambas Arrested For Ownership Of Sabu
The Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Anambas Police, Riau Islands, arrested two honorary employees of PLN Tarempa, Siantan District, related to possession of methamphetamine.
Kasatrenarkoba Polres Anambas AKP SM Simanjuntak in a statement received in Batam, Sunday night, said the two perpetrators had the initials DK and AK, who were arrested in two different locations in Siantan District, Anambas Regency.
"Last Friday, the perpetrator DK was arrested at around 19.00 WIB on Jalan Tamba, and AK was arrested at 19.30 WIB on Jalan Bakar Batu," Simanjuntak was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Monday, April 28.
During the arrest, he said, investigators confiscated evidence of methamphetamine weighing 0.89 grams from the hands of the perpetrators of DK, and 5.37 grams of crystal methamphetamine from the perpetrator AK.
"We have secured the two perpetrators at the Anambas Police along with the available evidence for further investigation," he said.
For their actions, the two perpetrators were suspected of violating Article 112 and Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Drugs.
"The perpetrator of DK is threatened with a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison, while the perpetrator AK is threatened with 20 years in prison," said Simanjuntak.
Separately, the Anambas Police Chief, AKBP Raden Ricky Pratidiningrat, appreciated the disclosure of this case thanks to the participation of the community who helped report the crime.
