Bournemouth Vs Manchester United Prediction: The Cherries Hunt For Double Victory Over Red Devils

Bournemouth has the opportunity to become the sixth team to record a double win over Manchester United this season when they host the Red Devils at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday, April 27 evening WIB.

Andoni Iraola's men are still struggling to secure tickets to European competition next season, while Ruben Amorim's Manchester United may start shifting their focus to the Europa League stage.

Manchester United have just gone through an emotional week. After dramatically turning things around against Lyon in the Europa League, they are back down in the Premier League with an embarrassing 0-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford, thanks to Pablo Sarabia's beautiful goal with a free kick.

The defeat was United's 15th defeat in the league this season with the highest number of defeats since the 1989-90 season. However, relegation opportunities have been closed to the Red Devils. The main focus of Amorim now is to bring his team to glory in the Europa League, where they will face Athletic Bilbao in the semifinals of next week's first leg.

But before that, United need to avoid a bad record: they can record five games without a win in the Premier League something that didn't even happen in the Ralf Rangnick or Erik ten Hag era.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth also appeared disappointing last week. Playing against Crystal Palace with an advantage over the number of players since the start of the second half, The Cherries still failed to score and only drew 0-0, so their hopes of finishing in the European zone are running low.

However, Bournemouth has set a club record with 49 points in the Premier League this season. They also have the opportunity to record three consecutive clean sheets for the first time since November 2019 and interestingly, at that time their third clean sheet also occurred when they beat Manchester United 1-0.

From the Manchester United camp, Ruben Amorim received bad news after Diogo Dalot suffered a calf injury. The injury was serious enough that Dalot had the potential to be absent until the end of the season. He added to the long list of injuries that had been filled by Joshua Zirkzee (paha), Leandro Martinez (ACL), Toby Coller (leg), Matthijs de Ligt (offset), Ayden Heaven (foot wrist), and Amad Diallo (foot wrist).

However, there is little hope that Amad Diallo will reportedly return to training next week. Dalot's absence opens up opportunities for young Harry Amass to return to form, while Tyler Fredricson's position is likely to be replaced by Leny Yoro or Harry Maguire, who is the hero in the Europa League.

On the Bournemouth side, Enes Unal (lutut) and Ryan Christie were still long-term absent. Luis Sinisterra is also confirmed not to recover from a hamstring injury on time. In addition, Lewis Cook will still be monitored for his condition until before the match after experiencing an ankle problem.

Interestingly, Antoine Semenyo will be in the special spotlight. The Bournemouth striker recorded 116 shots throughout the season the equivalent of Mohamed Salah at the top of the list.

Bournemouth has a confidence capital after beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford last December. While United are inconsistent and have to rest some important players in preparation for the Europa League semi-finals.

With a more stable performance at home and United probably half-hearted to face this game, Bournemouth is predicted to be able to secure at least one point or even a narrow win.
