Alex Marquez Ukir Lap Record At The Spanish Grand Prix 2025

JAKARTA Alex Marquez managed to set an all-time new lap record at the Jerez Circuit when he managed to top the 2025 Spanish MotoGP Practice Grand Prix session.

The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider crossed the finish line with a time of 1 minute 35.991 seconds to outperform Francesco Bagnaia in second place on Friday, April 25, 2025 evening WIB.

This result is so amazing because Alex had an accident at Turn 5 in the early minutes. The incident made the session red flags because the damaged barriers required improvement.

The incident made Alex undergo a brief examination at the medical center. He then returned to the track and had no trouble breaking into the top three before controlling the peak of the record time.

Alex finished with a record lead of 0.103 seconds from Francesco Bagnaia who followed him. Both followed by Franco Morbidelli in third place and Marc Marquez in fourth place.

Fabio Quartararo also had an accident. However, the rider nicknamed El Diablo immediately rushed to get up and slide again to the track and managed to secure the fifth position.

Behind the Yamaha racer is the rookie Fermin Aldegeer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) who performed brilliantly with success in claiming sixth place.

Johann Zarco followed in seventh position and was followed by Pedro Acosta. Completing the top ten were Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Racing Team) and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol).
