Copa Del Rey Barcelona Vs Real Madrid Final Prediction: Blaugrana Have More Chance To Win

JAKARTA - The latest edition of El Clasico will be held at the Estadio de La Cartuja on Saturday night 26 April, with the Copa del Rey trophy at stake when Barcelona and Real Madrid face each other in the top party of this prestigious competition.

Barcelona are eyeing the 32nd Copa del Rey title in the club's history, while Real Madrid are aiming for the 21st trophy, amid mounting pressure after being knocked out of the Champions League last week.

Barcelona performed very convincingly under Hansi Flick this season. The German coach has the opportunity to bring his team to four trophies at once in his first season. The Blaugrana have secured the Supercopa de Espamen title after beating Real Madrid 5-2 in the final and are now four points ahead at the top of La Liga standings, leaving five games left.

In addition, they have also reached the semifinals of the Champions League and are ready to face Inter Milan. Barcelona came to this final with high confidence after a narrow 1-0 win over Mallorca, and have been unbeaten in domestic competitions since December last year.

Even so, Real Madrid have a good record in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, with a win in the 2011 and 2014 finals. The last time Barcelona beat their eternal rivals in the final of this competition was in 1990.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have just won 1-0 over Getafe in La Liga, through Arda Guler's goal. They still maintain hope in the race for the league title, and have won one trophy this season, namely the UEFA Super Cup. However, a crushing defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals (Aggregate 1-5) was a major blow, and Carlo Ancelotti's future was questioned.

Reportedly, Ancelotti will be kicked out at the end of this season with Xabi Alonso referred to as the main replacement candidate. Therefore, the Copa del Rey final is very important for Los Blancos as a proof and a sweet closing of the season.

Real Madrid have won four of the seven Copa del Rey finals against Barcelona. The last time the two teams met in this event was in the semifinals of 2023, where Madrid won 4-0.

Barcelona will lose their flagship striker Robert Lewandowski who is still injured in hamstring. Ferran Torres is predicted to spearhead. Alejandro Balde is also absent due to a similar injury, with Gerard Martin likely filling the left-back position.

Other absent players are Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, and lead goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Pau Cubarsi will return to the heart of defense alongside Inigo Martinez. Ronald Araujo is still in doubt of appearing, while Fermin Lopez can replace Dani Olmo who is not 100% fit.

The front line is most likely filled with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, while Frenkie de Jong and Jules Kounde are confirmed to return to the starting XI.

In the Real Madrid camp, Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba are confirmed to be absent after suffering a muscle injury against Getafe. Both added to the list of injuries with Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao.

However, Kylian Mbappe and Ferland Mendy are reported to have recovered and can appear. Mbappe had an ankle injury against Arsenal, but is expected to be ready to play.

Fran Garcia is likely to be fielded from the start in a left-back position, and Ancelotti has confirmed that Rodrygo will start, despite recent criticisms.

With Lewandowski missing and injured several main players, Barcelona still has a better depth of squad and momentum. However, Real Madrid has high experience and motivation to close the season with titles. The game is predicted to be tight and full of tension.
