The Ministry Of Health Records Deaths Due To DHF Nearly 200 People In April 2025, These Are The Right Symptoms To Watch Out For
JAKARTA - Cases of death due to dengue fever (DHF) continue to increase. The Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that until April 13, 2025, there were 38,740 dengue cases with 182 deaths, in its report Thursday, April 24, 2025.
This number is surprising because it only happened in less than the first four months in 2025. Although this figure is slightly lower than the same period in 2024, the Ministry of Health said that it was dangerous and could not be ignored.
One of the things that must be done to prevent an increase in dengue cases is education to the public about this disease. DHF is an infectious disease caused by a virus that is transmitted due to mosquito bites, which can attack children and adults.
This disease is found in tropical climates, including Indonesia. The spread of dengue can occur throughout the year, and usually increases during the rainy season.
Quoted from Healthline, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, the cause of a person suffering from dengue fever was being bitten by the Aedes aegypti mosquito who had been infected with the Dengue virus first.
The mosquito usually actively bites in the morning and evening. These mosquitoes usually live in calm puddles and are basically clean, such as puddles on used car tires, plastic waste, or a place to drink.
