The Fate Of William To Unload The Aibon Glue Budget Depends On The Decision Of The DPRD Leadership

JAKARTA - The Honorary Board (BK) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has held a meeting with all representatives of the factions to discuss the fate of the PSI faction DPRD member William Aditya Sarana. After listening to William's explanation about dismantling the shame glue budget on social media, all factions shared their views.

Chairman of BK DPRD DKI Achmad Nawawi explained that his party had submitted the results of the views of BK DPRD members to the leadership, namely the Chairman of DKI DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi.

"The leadership will decide and impose the sanctions. We only report all the processes," said Nawawi when contacted, Thursday, November 28.

Nawawi said, when delivering his views, William was given advice from all factions. They actually appreciated William's criticism. Given that the position of council members is obliged to criticize regional head programs that are not right on target, as well as inefficient budgets.

However, what all members of parliament at the provincial / district / city level must be aware of, DPRD members are not like members of the DPR RI.

Members of the DPR RI can have a stand against the head of state. Meanwhile, the DPRD must be equal partners as administrators of the government.

"Supposedly, if you find an odd budget, you can first consult with the governor or perhaps the head of his office. Or ask other senior friends," explained Nawawi.

In addition, William was considered disproportionate in criticizing DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. Given, William is a member of Commission A in charge of government. Meanwhile, the glue aibon budget was included in the discussion of Commission B, in the field of public welfare.

"Finally, we agreed that the report we made was like that. Regarding later the sanctions in the form of reprimands, written or oral, are the matters of the leadership," he said.

There are three recommendation options that can be made in accordance with the DPRR's rules and regulations. If it is proven that it has violated the code of ethics for a board member, at least it will only be an oral warning, if it is included in a medium violation there is a written warning, then the heaviest sanction is a proposal to resign from office.

Nawawi has not been able to decide unilaterally what recommendations will be given to William. However, he had the personal view that William was unlikely to be subject to a serious foul.

"This is my personal view, it is not necessarily a decision by the BK, in my opinion it will not result in a serious ethical violation, perhaps the most serious is a written violation, but we have not decided yet," he said.

For information, BK DPRD DKI summoned William Aditya to clarify about the findings of odd budget items uploaded on social media accounts some time ago.

The reason for William being included in BK affairs began with a report from a Jakarta resident named Sugiyanto. The reason is that William is considered to have violated the council's code of ethics because the 2020 KUA-PPAS document uploaded on his Twitter account is still being discussed between the DKI Provincial Government and the DPRD.
