Men's Fertility Level Is Worrying, Sperma Racing Competition Held In The US
JAKARTA - The unique race in Los Angeles, United States, stole the public's attention. The race is a sperm race created by a startup company called the Sperm Race.
This sperm racing competition will be broadcast on the Hollywood venue in Palladium, on Friday, April 25, 2025. The audience will be able to watch sperm movements through high-resolution cameras, and the winner will be the first sperm to cross the finish line.
"It's about making male fertility something that people really want to talk about, track and improve," said Eric Zhu, co-founder of the company, quoted by The Times, on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
"This is not just a viral idea to laugh at the internet. It's something much bigger," he added.
Eric said that recently men's fertility had decreased drastically. It happened secretly, continuously, without anyone talking about it.
This race was made because the creators of Sperm Racing believed that there was a correlation between healthy sperm and fast sperm. They highlight the fertility of men and this event referred to as a trial of how a competitor can improve the health of their sperm.

Meanwhile, sperm swims at an average speed of 5 millimeters per minute and reaches the egg within 15 to 45 minutes of ejaculation.
If sperm swims in a relatively straight line, the race is expected to last about 40 minutes. A healthy adult usually releases between 40 and 300 million sperm per ejaculation.
