Anya Geraldine Reveals Character Equation In Dangdut's 'Strengthening' Film

JAKARTA - Anya Geraldine has become a dangdut singer in her latest film, Suddenly Dangdut. Through his new character, he considers there to be similarities and differences between himself and the character.

"I brought fun and believed in myself because filming with others really enjoyed it, I didn't feel like shooting," said Anya Geraldine at a press conference in South Jakarta on Tuesday, April 22.

In addition to playing a dangdut singer, Anya is also required to sing several dangdut songs in this film. He, who has practiced singing, realized the results of his training even though he finds it difficult.

"One of the things that is difficult is 'Wet Traveling' because the vocal range is everywhere so I have to raise my voice," said Anya.

In addition, he also mentioned that there are similarities and differences in the characters of himself and Naya in the film Suddenly Dangdut.

"Maybe if it looks like something. In the past, there were feelings like not being so close to my parents by the time I live, I forgive and what they've done," explained Anya.

"All the time I understand parents because they also have mental health conditions (as in films). During Naya's role, Naya herself began to think that her father was not bad, so there was reasonability from there too," he continued.

"If I have a younger brother in real life but a boy, if I have a younger sister here," he said again.

Suddenly Dangdut tells the story of Naya (Anya Geraldine), an acoustic singer who is trapped in a criminal situation and decides to become a dangdut singer in a suburb.

Dangdut's sudden film will hit Indonesian cinemas starting April 30.
