AHY Calls The Key To Economic Growth By Strengthening Domestic Consumption

JAKARTA - In the midst of an uncertain global economic situation, the government needs to ensure that the domestic economy continues to move, especially through strengthening the MSME sector and domestic consumption.

"We all have a big mandate. Whatever our roles and positions, our job is to ensure the economy continues to grow," said Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) quoting Antara.

One of our main strengths is domestic consumption. If this continues to be maintained, MSMEs move, then the national economy can remain stable," he added.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) Afriansyah Noor assessed that halal certification is one of the efforts for the development and empowerment of the micro and small business sector (UMK) which is the backbone of the national economy so that it continues to develop and advance to class.

Afriansyah added that changes in mindset (mindset) related to opportunities from halal certification, especially in the industrial world, can only be realized by collaborative efforts by involving all relevant stakeholders.

Therefore, the transformation of the halal ecosystem can be formed through collaboration and synergy between ministries/agencies (K/L).

Afriansyah also highlighted the implementation of Halal Product Guarantee (JPH) especially for UMK, as mandated by regulations demanding a synergistic and collaborative ecosystem so that the purpose of organizing JPH can be achieved properly.

I invite friends from the cabinet to stay in touch as well as share perceptions about the direction of the program in the future. We want to strengthen the synergy, so that halal certification is no longer a challenge, but it is a big opportunity for our business actors," said Afriansyah.
