Through Football, South Tangerang PMI Collaborates With Artists For Blood Donor Campaign

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) conducted a blood donation campaign by playing football together with the Celebrity FC team. This match was held at ABC Senayan Field, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 21, in the afternoon.

In that match, there were a number of artists such as Billy Syahputra, Judika, Iko Uwais, and Augie Fantinus. There are not only soccer players Cristian Gonzales to Syamsir Alam.

"We want to change people's perception that blood donation is part of a healthy lifestyle," said Head of the South Tangerang PMI Blood Donor Unit (UDD), Suhara Manullang when confirmed, Tuesday, April 22.

"Through celebrities who have a big influence, we hope to invite the younger generation to donate more regularly their blood," he continued.

Suhara also hopes that with gathering activities through football in front of these artists, they can invite the community to care and regularly donate blood.

"We hope these celebrities can be an example for the community, especially among Gen Z and millennials, to be more concerned and regularly donate their blood. This is part of a wider humanitarian campaign," said Suhara.

Suhara also assessed that the presence of the Selebriti FC football team would be a big enough influence so that it could invite people to participate in this humanitarian action.

"The form is how we will technically go there, so we are helped by this celebrity community through football," said Suhara.
